☀ I need a bike to ride, ride, ride

To be honest I wasn’t that excited about the idea of biking through London (only because I am a little lazy like that) but my friends Naz and Dan definitely were, it was their idea. Both of them are extremely healthy and active, then there is me like the 3rd wheel always falling behind even when walking.

The thought that excited me the most was obviously the food part of the gathering – having brunch on a nice sunny Saturday morning with my friends at Dishoom in Covent Garden “A Bombay brasserie in the style of the old post-colonial ‘Irani cafés’ of Bombay”.

With me always being the late one, Naz had told me to get there for 10.45AM. She told me that this restaurant is very strict with reservations and give up tables after 5 minutes, yeah right but good tactic! Tubes were not working so I woke up bright and early, ready to be on time. I finally arrived 5 minutes early only to find that the booking was not until 11 and THEY were running late, oh the irony.

The staff at Dishoom were extremely nice, and good looking according to Naz. Despite the fact that I was 20 minutes early they still seated me and were nice enough to move me to the sofas while I waited for the rest to turn up. The tables in the middle are a little crammed so if you do book in advance, ask for the sofas.

When they finally got there we ordered some delicious Egg Naan Rolls with Sausage and Full Bombays.

Here are some comments on the drinks though:
* The Chai did not have much water in the pot.
* The Virgin Mary was very spicy.
* The Breakfast Lassi tasted a bit unusual but it was still drinkable.
* The Cappuccino was served in a normal glass… I would have preferred a cup.

The menu was a good mix of Iranian/Indian food, the price was very reasonable and it is a cute little place for brunch, quick and easy – recommended!

After the breakfast we had to burn off what we had just eaten so we went to the highly anticipated bike ride and I actually loved it! I can not remember the last time I had been on a bike prior to Saturday.

We grabbed some drinks and snacks and just relaxed in Hyde Park for a bit. Whilst Dan had to leave us, us ladies decided to go to MoMo just off Regent Street to sit under the heater and smoke some shisha.

SPOTTED: We saw some celebrity looking people… we were not sure what they are famous for or who they are, but they are something. Also, a swaggy fresh prince of Bel Air looking dude joined them. We decided to play paparazzi and take a snap of the rabbi and the rapper, so if anyone recognises these guys, please let me know!

If only London had good weather and a beach, it would be perfect.
