On Saturday morning I went to something which I would like to call a “Drunch”, meaning a drinking breakfast/lunch. It was my co-worker’s amazing suggestion to book a brunch with unlimited Prosecco at Bunga Bunga, a pizzeria/karaoke club in Battersea.
A brunch isn’t exactly a catch, a drunch could be but that still doesn’t quite cut it… wait for it.

Judging from the website, this place looked really tacky (no offence).
Much to our surprise the restaurant was actually very cute, colourful and authentic with quirky interior. http://www.bungabunga-london.com

And a not so cute painting of Berlusconi.

Upon arrival there was actually a queue, no way will people miss a minute of free-pouring drinks! The crowd was full of twentysomething year olds ready to get down to some serious business. The food was all made for sharing but if you are one of those “Joey doesn’t share food!” types (like myself), don’t worry there is plenty of it.
For starters we had fruits and a selection of cured meats; Milano salami, prosciutto di parma, wild boar and capocollop – all which were delicious with the fresh baguettes.

Most importantly, they brought the Prosecco which got topped up whenever we ran low! It came with 4 different mixers, you could pick and choose as you wished; Red berry puree, Mandarin persimmon & vanilla puree, Orange juice and Grapefruit & pomegranate juice.
TIP: To get the most out of your drinks you gotta play the game, either hide the bottle or pour it out in different glasses for a new one.

After a short wait, a beautiful long tray of 4 combined crispy, thin and light pizzas arrived and I am mentioning them in order of their deliciousness.
* Hollandaise sauce, spianch, smoked salmon with a soft egg
* Prosciutto di parma, rocket, tmatoes and parmesan
* Pancetta, goats cheese, creamed spinach with a soft egg
* Sausage, mushrooms, tomato, pancetta with a soft egg

We finished it all without a problem.
Prosecco was still flowing in…
The dessert was also a pizza but with chocoalate sauce, banana and strawberry along with ice cream. This was so average but at this point, who cared!?

Something which was really random and worth mentioning was that they have Italian lessons playing in the restrooms, so you can educate yourself whilst doing whatever that you do!
Don’t expect to go anywhere once your meal is finished, just saying. I thought the brunch would be over and we would go out in the sun to enjoy the rest of the day but everyone stuck around, not for the eye candy though.

And no, you may absolutely NOT take a picture with us, pervert!
Out of nowhere the lights went down and some terrible Elvis show began.

Followed by a drag queen who was hosting an 80/90’s old school disco/karaoke/whatever it was.

S/he snapped at me for touching the blue cape… s/he didn’t like us and s/he did not play our requested songs! Although, the crowd must have had a good taste in music because it was fun! What was the issue though? Don’t ask me because I don’t know why, but it’s like that, and that’s the way it is.
The whole afternoon show was just so bad that it was great, you have to experience it for yourself. To sum it up, we had an awesome night out on Saturday afternoon. I think I had my first glimpse of Vegas.
