I got myself a travel map which I’ve hung up on my wall. Each new
destination I visit can be scratched off the map, making it more colourful. It’s a nice idea for those of you who love to travel and want to keep track of what countries you have visited or want to visit.
You can scratch off this map by country, continent, each continent’s highest peak and lowest point as well as the world’s largest lakes.
Today I started scratching the map, beginning with the most recent
countries I visited.
So far I have been to 15 countries and 3 continents:
EUROPE
Spain – Barcelona, Salou
Italy – Venice, Sardinia
France – Paris, Roanne, Lyon
Monaco
Germany – Berlin
Denmark – Copenhagen
Bulgaria – Sofia, Sunny Beach

SOUTH AMERICA
Peru – Lima, Cusco, Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu)
Brazil – Rio De Janeiro, Iguazu
AFRICA
Cape Verde
My goal is to make it 4 continents and 20 countries in 2014. Hopefully this map will be more colourful by the end of the year. If you have suggestions on where to visit next, I’d love to hear from you.

We have a similar map that we got as a gift but we actually haven’t started scratching it yet! We need to find somewhere to mount it as we already a map with pins it it! Had no idea it was colourful underneath – will have to scratch it now ;)
