Last week a friend of mine invited me to attend the 2014 Graduate Fashion Week Awards show, showcasing the work of up and coming designers from all across the UK.
Coming straight out of the office, I felt like an outsider. I really should have dressed more creatively! Not knowing when exactly the show started, I arrived early and had a long stroll around the The Old Truman Brewery located in Shoreditch, the heart of East London.
The outfits on display in their exhibition area were very eccentric and creative, however not anything that I would ever wear, probably because I don’t have the courage. I did find some interesting sh!t though….

After some browsing, the show was finally about to start. Can someone tell me who this celebrity is? Apparently it is someone from made in Essex or something like that, I’ve never watched it!

The show started and the beautiful Zoe Hardman came up on stage to present the universities. The catwalk show was electric with so many talented designers and good looking models.

Below are the pictures of my favorite outfits, you will notice a dark theme.

As much as the next outfit caught my attention (not for the reasons you may think), who would wear such a thing? I dare you, go on.

On to more colorful designs.

And finally, the winning designer! I loved this because as I mentioned before, I like dark and slightly gothic outfits and hers were a mixture of girly and gothic.

Grace Weller of Bath Spa University won the top prize George gold award as well as the womenswear award at the ceremony. Her prize includes £10,000 and a paid internship with George at Asda.

Congratulations and good luck to her!
