For week 25 I went to Cambridge for one of the famous graduate May balls. The one I attended was a New York themed party for Wolfson College thanks to my alumni colleague who invited me.
I got a bargain dress on sale last minute (the night before) from Coast and was so happy with it.

The party was mostly outdoors with different rooms, each with different kinds of entertainment.

The food and drinks were unlimited.

You could tell that people were clearly taking advantage of this.

My favorite section of the party was the whisky room. Having had that final interview on this Friday, I went for shots while my friend stayed responsible.

The party was fun but the next day we weren’t hungover. Yes, even after whisky shots! I was expecting to be a cranky tourist on the Saturday but no, rested and cheery, I was ready to explore the town.
Cambridge is lovely and the best way to get a summary of the town is through the traditional punting river tours of the colleges, I’d recommend this to anyone who visits. The local guides are very experienced and knowledgable, talking about the history of the university.

The ducks seemed to have a thing for my friend, he wasn’t interested.

My favourite part of Cambridge was this beautiful King’s College chapel, just look at it.

This right here, is student accommodation. Let’s not even compare this to where I lived when I was at university, it’s laughable. The whole vibe reminded me of Harry Potter, lucky students.

The student community at Cambridge is amazing, it makes me wish I had studied there. The campuses are all beautiful and well maintained, the student are so looked after.
Cambridge really does live up to it’s reputation and there is no wonder only the best of the best go there. It was cool to see how it would feel to be a student in Cambridge for a day and a night.
what dashing men! and you look lovely!
