Sundays are not boring in NYC

Sundays don’t need to be lazy and boring. I was a little disappointed that I would miss Notting Hill Carnival this year but my friend, a local expert of NYC, decided to go on an adventure with me to Brooklyn’s MisterSunday. He had no idea what it was going to be like but we tried it out. Excuse the quality and lack of photos in advance, my technology decided the screw me over on this day but trust me, it was amazing!

Brooklyn reminds me of London’s Shoreditch, extremely relaxed, trendy and quite alternative.

This is the fist proper street/block party I’ve been to where there has been babies, dogs, young and old people raving it out. This party was one of the highlights of my trip so far because I got to see an authentic side of New York. It’s the sort of thing you don’t hear about unless you’re a local and gave me that moment of thankfulness that I get to travel and experience places like NYC.

I felt like people here were a lot more social than parties in London, the crowd varied from musicians to laywers, everyone was talking to everyone. That’s my kind of scene. I loved everything about this party – the Sangria, setting, location, people and music, you name it.
