Despite the boring start to my Las Vegas trip, after coming back from Grand Canyon I was determined to make the most out of my trip and damn, I did indeed!
Here are some of my highlights:
* Gambling at the Bellagio next to people betting thousands of dollars in one go, then there was me betting the $10 minimum.
There was also a group who bet $300 on craps because they thought I had beginners luck. They gave me the dice and I rolled a 7 – oops. They were out of there before I knew it, hilarious! The game always reminds me of the Vegas episode of Friends. After losing a little, I won $60 – balling! (Pictures are not allowed by the tables).

* Partying with people I met on the plane. Funny enough the people who sat next to me on the plane from NYC to Vegas were attending a party at my hotel. This was the same party the nice hotel staff invited me to. It was amazing and nothing like any party I’ve ever been to before. A party in a pool with great music, amazing setting and cool people. What else do you need?
* Walking up and down the whole strip. This itself is a sight. There are so many hotels and different kinds of entertainment along the strip. Allow a few hours to walk up and down the whole strip. Make sure you stop by the Bellagio Hotel to watch the beautiful fountain show.
* Having such a good time that the foodie of all foodies herself forgot to eat (but of course not to “drink”) for 27 hours. I know, it’s terrible and it shouldn’t be considered a highlight but that Thai food I had the day after was worth the wait.

* Showing up to a party alone on my last few hours before I took off to the airport. I was adamant to experience a day pool party as well and what better place to do so than my own hotel. The staff were again kind enough to let me in. This was the highlight of my highlights because I have never shown up to a party alone and had no expectations of how the day would turn out. Less expectations means that there is more room to be impressed.
I was having such a good time that I called up Virgin to check other flight options so that I could extend my stay but sometimes you have to leave it short and sweet.
I loved Vegas and I’m coming back for sure with my ladies next time. I’ve never seen a place like it before and it’s definitely worth the trip!
