47 – afternoon tea on a London double-decker

If you’re a tourist or even a Londoner, this experience is something to add to the bucket list! Have you ever had traditional British afternoon tea on a London double decker? You can now do that with BB Bakery.

This concept is relatively new and I was pleasantly surprised with the idea when I was invited by BB bakery and iDBUS to come on a tour with them around London.

The event was organised to promote iDBUS’ new and improved coach services around Europe. The bus tour started at 14.30PM which was good because I needed to recover from my sister’s birthday party and the lack of sleep the night before. They start off by London Eye and take you on a 1.5 hour tour around London’s most notable sites including Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Marble Arch. Check the full route out below.

Living here, you really take for granted all that London has to offer so it was a nice little reminder of how beautiful our city really is. I must say that taking pictures and drinking  wasn’t the easiest thing to do while being on a shaky bus but it added to the experience.

The beautifully laid out food was untouched for a good 10 minutes (surprisingly!) while everyone were snapping photos of the sandwiches, mini quiches, pastries, cupcakes and macarons. They were all delicious, especially the quiches. My mom absolutely loved it which is always nice. If my mom is happy then I’m happy. How did we manage to fit in dinner right after that? I don’t even know..

If the above wasn’t enough, don’t worry they didn’t forget the traditional fresh scones with jam. Time flew by really quickly and before we knew it we had to step off the bus. The price for this tour is £45pp. I definitely think it is worth combining two of the most traditional things you can do in London for this unique experience.

iDBUS were kind enough to give us all a little goodie bag as a treat with travel essentials and a voucher for two. What better time to travel than during Christmas period? So we booked a trip to Paris!

The good thing about iDBUS is that prices are fixed so they don’t change last minute and the buses have Wi-Fi. From London, you can travel to Brussels, Lille, Amsterdam and Paris. I will report back on what I thought of the whole experience when I’m back from my trip. Thank you BB Bakery and iDBUS for the unique experience and the voucher! Paris Paris, I’m coming for you in two weeks <3
