B/ATTITUDE at Grosvenor House review

Despite sunshine and good company, a few days into my holiday in Dubai I still didn’t feel completely relaxed for many reasons. Months of stress can’t be shaken off overnight so her suggestion of a spa afternoon sounded heavenly. I didn’t know where we were going exactly but she’s the local so I just packed my bikini and off we went – we arrived at the Grosvenor Hotel.

Looking at it from the outside it seems like any other nice hotel but once you get to the spa section, you feel like you’re in Thailand. I loved the interior and the relaxing music playing in the background. This was the first time I was actually able to switch off, the whole atmosphere immediately relaxes you. B/attitude is clearly designed to soothe both the body and mind. The spa has 12 treatment rooms, eight for women and four for men.

I chose a 60 min Musclease massage which was quite harsh but it was recommended for a stiff back. The treatment started with a foot ritual that involves soaking feet in a warm bath followed by a gentle scrub before starting with quite a heavy duty massage. Sitting in front of a computer 10 hours per day isn’t exactly wonderful for you back! Personally the massage didn’t take away much stiffness in my body but the after bit was really the highlight.

They have separate relaxation rooms for both men and women, and a large mixed room. All rooms have heated stone chairs and a jacuzzi, steamroom and sauna. Wow, if only I could get a heated stone chair at home… they also provide you with some tea and snacks.

It definitely wasn’t best massage I’ve had so the treatment itself could have been better in my option. The spa facilities however were outstanding. I didn’t want to leave and I could have easily stayed there all day.

The spa treatment cost 525AED.

I love the Sidhartha Lounge at Grosvenor House, Dubai – also very relaxing, albeit of a different sort! Must try and visit their spa too while here :) xx

Wow, that spa is breathtaking! The hot stone chairs look especially relaxing. I’ve heard that Dubai is one of the most beautiful and luxurious places in the world to travel. I have to add it to my list!
