NOPI is an Ottolenghi restaurant with food inspired by the Middle East and Asia. NOPI serves breakfast, lunch, pre-theatre and dinner menus. I visited this Soho restaurant for breakfast a while back and fell in love a tiny bit.
From the moment you walk in its a breath of fresh air. The whole dining area is so simplistic, modern and clean. I just loved the white marble and wooden/gold combinations. NOPI contains two floors, the upper one being quite formal and the lower floor quite casual.
As you may know, I’m not into light food. Even for breakfast, I need quite heavy and filling food (otherwise it doesn’t count!). Their breakfast menu is quite limited but to the point, they stick to a few dishes and do them well. Both my friend and I went for the Shakshuka (£12) and I can recommend it without hesitation. Shakshuka is an Israeli dish containing spiced stewed tomatoes, braised eggs and smoked labneh. As my drink I ordered a Virgin Mary which turned out to be pretty spicy but delicious!
SUMMARY
The staff was friendly and unobtrusive, we didn’t feel rushed at all despite ordering a little late into our original booking time. I’d definitely recommend Nopi for a delicious and great quality brunch in a chic environment. Our bill came up to around £20 per person.
I’ve not attached a picture because this would ruin the surprise but you must visit the washrooms! Don’t worry it’s a good surprise ; ) let’s leave it at that.

you should definitely visit! I really liked it :) x
Love Shakshuka and all things Ottolenghi. Apparently the burrata is the sell-out dish at NOPI. note to self: must go!

Shakshuka is one of my favorite breakfasts! Looks so good in the skillet.
I went for lunch last autumn and loved it :) I’m such a big Ottolenghi fan, I’d gladly go for that shakshuka! That labneh looks very tempting :) x
