A few weeks back I was invited to visit Albert’s – a private member’s club in South Kensington. I visited Albert’s on a Friday night, expecting a nice dinner with the chance to explore the club for drinks afterward. Little did I know what was in store and how impressed I would be. Private member’s clubs usually have a certain pretentious vibe about them which wasn’t the case here. Albert’s targets a slightly more mature crowd and therefore attracts less of the “young trendsetters”. The age range seems to be around early to late 30’s who are genuinely out for a good night more than anything else.
The club caters to all stages of the evening, allowing guests to have an overall great night. It starts off as martini bar in the early evening, then turns into a restaurant before being transformed into a nightclub from 11.30pm onwards.
Albert’s is located below ground level, giving it a cozy and homely feel. The interior is very contemporary yet it keeps the classic British touch. In the main dining area you’ll notice lots of art works and beautiful furniture.
The dinner by head chef Alessio Piras was amazing! For the starter I had the juicy beef carpaccio
followed by perfectly tender baby chicken with grilled vegetables. For desserts I had the cheese cake and I can safely say this was high up amongst the nicest cheese cakes that I’ve tried. Excuse the lack of photos due to the dimmed light.

Throughout the dinner, there was a consistent flow of martinis which were mixed right next to us. I tried the pornstar martini and espresso martini, both were on point. As the night progressed, every single table in the dining room was occupied and once everyone was done eating the live music began. This live band was insane. They rapped Loose yourself by Eminem, say no more!

Albert’s Private Member’s Club Review Summary
I was pleasantly surprised by the food, the vibe and the music. We all had a great night. Albert’s cost £500 per year, which is reasonable in comparison to other private members clubs and I’d say its definitely worth exploring.

OMG! I saw the first photo and thought ‘that looks familiar…’ I was a member there when it was Ramusake until it closed last year – still have my old membership card haha! It’s one of those places that regularly changes, a few years ago it was Brompton Club (and was AWESOME), and then it became Ramusake (and became even more awesome)…so I’m definitely gonna have to try it out when I get back to London and see if it’s triple-y as awesome haha!
