The Club Hotel & Spa Jersey is a foodie and relaxation paradise located in St Helier, Jersey. This 5 star hotel and spa is the home of Bohemia, 1 out of only 3 Michelin star restaurants on the island. I visited The Club Hotel & Spa for 2 nights in April with my sister and that’s a perfect amount of time for Jersey I found. Containing only 46 rooms, the hotel remains rather intimate and never feels too crowded. The location of The Club Hotel is right in the city centre and close to bars, restaurants and shops.
THE ROOM
Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a family suite. The suite is split into two sections, the living room with a sofa-bed and the bedroom area. Both sections had their own toilet and shower facilities of different sizes. The one in the bedroom was spacious with a bathtub whilst the living room one was smaller with a standing shower.
The interior of the room is very neutral with lots of wood and brown colours. Our bed was extremely comfortable thanks to the fluffy mattress toppers. I slept very well to say the least during our two-night stay.
The Wi-Fi is free which is always important and the connection was strong throughout our stay. Additionally the room was well equipped with all the essentials you’d need for your stay such as toiletries, bathrobes and a hair dryer etc. Despite of the central location, the room was peaceful and quiet as our window overlooked a beautiful pool area.

THE SPA
As a part of my stay at the hotel, I had booked a de-stress muscle massage. The spa offers a range of other treatments. Rachael who did my massage was very good and also very informative with advice on how to maintain a more relaxed back, because mine is far from it!
The facilities in the spa include a relaxation room with free snacks such as tea along with various dried fruits and nuts. In addition to the outdoor swimming pool seen from the hotel room, there’s also an indoor one in the spa area. Both pools are quite small. By the poolside there are also two steam rooms – one salt cabin and a herbal steam room. Unfortunately these didn’t seem to be working properly at the time of our visit as both rooms were standard steam rooms.
FOOD & DRINKS
There are a few places you can have yourself a drink and a snack around the hotel. There’s the outdoor terrace on a sunny day, the Honesty Bar indoors and Bohemia which is where I explored the most. I had both afternoon tea and dinner here which were great.
Afternoon Tea
We chose a Champagne afternoon tea (£29.95) which included a selection of loose leaf teas & Herbal Infusions // Plain & Raisin Scones served with Strawberry Jam, Jersey Black Butter & Clotted Cream // Bohemian Tea Sandwiches // Selection of Cakes.
The sandwiches were amongst the nicest afternoon tea ones I’ve had and the rest followed a good standard.
Dinner
Chef Steve Smith is the current star behind Bohemia which has held a Michelin star since 2005. You must arrive very hungry when you visit Bohemia because 9-11 courses is a marathon which will last a few hours (a great marathon may I add)
My sister and I went for the 9 course prestige menu (£89) – find the full review here. Each dish was perfectly presented and explained by the staff. We really had a great experience at Bohemia and for £89 you do get what you pay for.
Breakfast
Whilst the dinner was world class, the breakfast was a slight disappointment in terms of the selection. It was healthy which is good and goes in line with the wellbeing aspect of the hotel but I just wished there were more options. The selection offered yogurt, cereals, fruits and bread with jam, vegetables, cheese and ham. There’s also a hot menu to choose from at an additional cost.
THE CLUB HOTEL & SPA JERSEY REVIEW SUMMARY
The Club Hotel in Jersey offers the whole package – a relaxing hotel, perfect location, great spa and world class cuisine. I came of out my visit feeling so relaxed and surprised I hadn’t visited Jersey sooner. The Club Hotel & Spa Jersey doesn’t scream out 5 star on all aspects and facilities but this wouldn’t stop me from staying here again when I’m in Jersey.
