When I visited Hong Kong for the first time, I fell in love with the views. The second time I visited, I was on a mission to find the top three places to drink & dine with a view. Below are my top 3 Hong Kong restaurants with a view.
All of these place surprisingly are located on the Hong Kong Island. When I think of views, I think of the avenue of stars and the bank of China building as the central hub. However around the central area you’ll find so many beautiful places with a view.
THE BEST OVERALL PACKAGE – Cafe Grey Deluxe
Cafe Gray Deluxe is a restaurant that offers the whole package in terms of looks, views and food. The restaurant is located on the 49th floor of Upper House, an intimate hotel inside one of Hong Kong’s beautiful high-rise buildings and next to a large shopping mall called Pacific Place. Designer Andre Fu has done a great job at the interior throughout the hotel as well as the restaurant, with an understated yet elegant design.
The food and service are great, offering beautiful views over the harbour as you dine. I highly recommend their oysters as a starter and seabass as the main course. If you’d like to have a drink, the highball is great! Any cocktail with the word highball is strong and you know it (I learned that in Japan!). The atmosphere is quite formal and contains a mix between local business people and chic tourists. The only downside is that there’s no rooftop here for Al Fresco drinking.

THE BEST VIEW – Wooloomooloo
Wooloomooloo offers the best outdoor rooftop view in Hong Kong in my opinion. This Aussie Steak House offers all things meaty before you head upstairs to their rooftop bar for amazing unobstructed views over Hong Kong. It’s a great place to see the city from different angles. The good news is that they also have two more branches on the Kowloon side – The Chop House and Wooloomooloo Prime. The Wooloomooloo chain is known for it’s amazing views for a reason.
Station: Wan Chai

THE BEST NIGHTLIFE ATMOSPHERE – Ce La Vi
Located in Lang Kai Fong, Hong Kong’s night life hub, Ce La Vi offers the best rooftop atmosphere and is a more sophisticated nightlife option in the area. Whilst you don’t get much of a view over the river here, you’re surrounded by the Hong Kong high rise and the outdoor area is quite impressive. It is very spacious and also offers nice & comfortable seating.
On Thursdays they hold ladies nights with complimentary light bites from: 7:30pm – 9:30pm as well as complimentary Bubbles (Ladies only): 8:30pm-10:30pm.
