FOOD GUIDE: WHERE TO EAT AT BOROUGH MARKET

London is full of delicious food markets. In fact, exploring markets is probably one of my favourite things to do in London. Despite many options there’s one which simply can not be beaten and that’s Borough Market! I love Borough so much. At Borough you can find everything from local produce to restaurants and individual food stalls. In my opinion, the individual stalls are the best because you can fit more in. Following many visits hunting down where to eat at Borough Market, I’ve put together a list of the things you shouldn’t miss. Check my vlog below.

1 – Monmouth Coffee
Before you start eating, pop by Monmouth coffee to awaken your taste buds. Their coffee is so nice and smooth, I usually go for the cappuccino. It’s normally quite crowded for seating though so it’s more of a grab and go kind of place. If you do manage to get a seat though there is a good Wi-Fi connection.

2 – Bread Ahead
If you didn’t know then now you do. Bread Ahead doughnuts are hands down the best in London. These doughnuts come in many flavours, all which are amazing but I recommend the praline and salted caramel in particular. The dough is always soft, freshly baked and covered in sugar whilst the filling isn’t just on top, it’s all the way in the inside. Thank me later.

3 – Boston Sausage
Boston Sausage offers really good quality British sausages. You can have hot dogs but my favourite is the sausage on a stick for only £1,50. Remember, the aim at Borough is to eat as much as possible, so this is the perfect snack to have whilst ensuring that you’re saving space.

4 – Richard Haward
There are a few Oyster stands at Borough, all which are really good. My favourite one is Richard Haward because they’ve got a dedicated area more like a restaurant. They serve drinks as well as huge oysters that you won’t find anywhere else in the market.

5 – Scotchtails
I never used to be a fan of scotch eggs until I came across Scotchtails. They’ve set the bar pretty damn high! At Borough they serve a Scotch of the day alongside their traditional pork one which is my favourite (£4.50). It’s the perfect scotch egg with a crunchy outside. The flavour of the pork really comes out and the orange yolk is always nice and runny.
