THE GOOD TASTE SERIES AT PARK HYATT MALLORCA

Who here is a fan of Masterchef? I most definitely am!

A few weeks ago I was invited down to Mallorca to attend Hyatt‘s very own version of Masterchef called The Good Taste Series. The Good Taste Series is an internal global competition which brings the hotel’s chefs together to showcase their culinary skills. I attended the European / Northern African semi-finals where 17 chefs were competing against their fellow Hyatt colleagues for a spot in the international final held in Abu Dhabi.

To start off the competition each chef received the exact same ingredients. Watching every single chef combine their culinary skills with their own creative take in such a fast paced environment was impressive to say the least.

Throughout the competition we got to stay at the beautiful Park Hyatt Mallorca for 2 nights. The hotel is stunning and looks like something out of the Hollywood hills, but in a secluded and luxurious village.

The room was beautiful as well, offering stunning views and high ceilings. It is connected in such a way that you can openly walk through the whole room via a walk-in closet. The whole Hyatt Mallorca premises is huge but they’re kept it to 144 rooms which means every room offers a generous amount of space. To summarise, we couldn’t pinpoint any flaws with the room.

The hotel itself contains 4 restaurants, 4 pools and a fitness centre, so there’s plenty to do in hotel. Due to unfortunate weather conditions during my time in Mallorca, we didn’t explore much of Canyamel. However the hotel does provide shuttles to the nearby beach.

To summarise I really felt like Hyatt Mallorca embodied every element of a 5 star hotel. I would personally return and also highly recommend it to others looking for a luxurious getaway.

However, do note that it costs over 100 euros to get from and to the airport as the hotel is located on the other side of the island. They offer free on site parking, so perhaps it’s best to hire your own car.

Congratulations to Chef Thomas Progeas from Park Hyatt Paris for winning the competition, as well as Richard Herrera and Pedro Dias Carvalho who came 2nd and 3rd place. Watch our Mallorca Vlog below!

This post was a paid partnership with Hyatt Hotels, but the views remain my own.
