The last 48 hours of our Australia trip was spent in Brisbane. We were flying via Brisbane because Malaysia Airlines is now offering routes from London.
Having done lots of traveling in the prior 2 weeks, Brisbane was the perfect place to unwind and prepare for our 26 hour journey back home. We checked in to NEXT Hotel Brisbane and couldn’t have asked for a better place to finish our trip.
NEXT Hotel very clearly caters to business travellers offering pure convenience with an unbeatable central location, nap pods, smart tech, a working lounge and quick service.
The rooms are very clean and modern. Our favourite part of the room must have been the smart TV where we managed to connect to Netflix and binge-watch the whole season of Dirty John. Combined with 4 free items from the mini-bar daily (which is included in all rooms) it turned out to be the perfect combination.
We also spent some time relaxing by their rooftop pool on the 4th floor, overlooking Queen Street Mall.
Continental breakfast was served at Lennons Restaurant & Bar offering both a buffet section and an A La Carte menu. The quality and flavours of the breakfast dishes were great (Aussie style of course!).
Being so centrally located, we took the opportunity to walk around and explore the areas around. Brisbane Botanical Garden is only located 10 minutes away from the hotel.
A short walk over Goodwill Bridge took us to South Bank where there are lots of parks, playgrounds, bars and restaurants. Take a stroll all the way along the river until you reach Victoria Bridge to take you back to the hotel.
On our last day before we checked out we had a stroll around Queen Street Mall, browsing around all of the fashionable shops as well.
Thank you so much to NEXT Hotel for hosting our stay in Brisbane. Price per night starts from around £150.
