About

Catch52 is a London Food & Travel blog, giving you the hidden gems and dishes around London as well as local cuisines and places to stay around the world!

I’m Em, a Swedish born Iranian who’s been living in London since 2007. I’m the kind of person who can’t stay in one place or do one thing for too long. I absolutely hate being restless and feel like we would be wasting our youth if we didn’t do something fulfilling with our time, that’s why Catch52 was born.

When I started my blog in 2014 I was office bound for 10-hours a day and very bored, so on my free time I decided to do something new every week of the year, hence the name Catch52.  I created a bucket list and my blog to hold myself accountable to my promise and encourage others to do the same. 2014 was an amazing year with amazing new experiences. In 2014 I traveled alone for the first time, visited 6 countries and went on to conquer my fear of Skydiving! Naturally Catch52 grew into a London Food & Travel blog.

Fast forward to 2017 I finally gathered the courage to quit my job to pursue my passion for travel and food full-time, eating my way around 12 countries in 6 months before returning back to London to set up my own Creative Agency whilst still running my blog. Hopping between London and the world I like to explore all types of foods and travel styles, from budget to luxury.

As of January 2019, the blog concept is once again based around doing something new each week of the year, exploring one experience, restaurant and location at a time.

What camera do I use?
A Nikon D750, together with a 50mm 1.8 prime lens and a 16-35 wide angle lens for travel.

I’m open to all kinds of new experiences, travel and food – in London and around the world. If you want to work with me on anything that would be interesting to me and my readers, please get in touch via catch52@live.com

    Hi Em,

Love your blog and share your enthusiasm of pigging out! ;) We all love having good food but have been let down many times and hence your recommendation list is great. I feel that a lot more people can definitely benefit from your reviews and recommendations. I have been struggling to find any dish review apps and having thought this over, decided to develop my own app. Therefore I am hoping to reach out to you regarding our newly released app, Radishnow! 😊

By way of introduction, Radishnow is a visual dish-by-dish review app that helps you order the top dishes at any given restaurant based on feedback from a network of like-minded people.

How many times have you said, “Yes it was good, thank you” even though your meal was not good?

I am sure that both restaurateur and customer would have wanted different experiences. Radishnow allows you, as a customer to snap a picture and post your constructive feedback on what needs improvement.

As the network grows, the validity of the reviews grow and the value that chefs get from listening to the diners’ feedback grows exponentially too! You can access the app to find the top rated dishes at any given restaurant.

If you need anything, please feel free to give me a shout! Hope you enjoy the app, try posting and contributing to the network and look forward to your feedback.

    Many thanks,
    Qing :)
