Sofitel Jumeirah Beach Hotel Review
Last year my friend and I visited Dubai during ramadan as a stop over on our way to Asia. Dubai during ramadan is insanely quiet but on the positive side, prices on hotels are majorly reduced. We managed to book Sofitel on Jumeira Beach for an amazing £60 per night! That’s a very good deal for Sofitel which usually starts from £200 per night. The location of Sofitel Jumeira Beach is ideal as its within walking distance to the marina and a short taxi ride away from the malls.
LE MERIDIEN MUNICH HOTEL REVIEW
Back in November, I stayed at Le Meridien Munich for one night for a quick weekend break. Le Meridien’s location is very central and convenient. Coming out from the central station you can literally see Le Meridien across the street to your right and it’s about a minute walk to get to. The hotel is also very close to the Marienplatz which is where you’ll find Munich’s main attractions.
A while ago my mom and I visited Lisbon for a short weekend trip. It’s amazing how the place you stay in can make or break your trip. In this case, Sofitel Lisbon completely made our holiday. We fell in love with the city and also with the hotel.
First of all – location, location, location. The hotel is well placed right in the city centre on Avenida da Liberdade. It is a prime shopping district and is very close to the Barrio Alto and most major Lisbon attractions. We didn’t have to use public transport much at all. The front desk staff were so lovely, knowledgable and helpful from the very moment we walked in until the moment we left.
A year after my solo trip to the US, I’m still reminiscing about my stay at Encore in Vegas during Labour Day weekend. I associate this hotel with one of the best times of my life and I wasn’t ready to leave after just 3 days.
Maybe it was because I had been staying at a hostel in New York for almost a week (for the first time in my life).
Maybe it was because they took such good care of me while I was traveling alone.
May I remind you this is where prince Harry had his infamous Vegas pictures taken.
Whatever the reason, Encore is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Why?
Every city has got a signature building, in Dubai it’s the one and only Burj Khalifa. This blog post will give you a peak inside Burj Khalifa and one of their 80th floor apartments.
I was lucky enough to get to stay at a corporate apartment thanks to my friend who works in real estate development! The most memorable thing about Burj Khalifa is the view in the mornings where the peaks of buildings are above the clouds. It’s crazy because when you’re that high up, everything below you looks like miniature structures.
Getting to stay in the tallest building in the world is a bucket list worthy item I hadn’t planned on. I’d be busting my ass for some time to afford a one night stay on the 80th floor so I feel lucky to have experienced a stay there. I thought it would be worth putting together a post taking you inside Burj Khalifa and showing the views from the top.
A few weeks ago I was invited to a little get-together at Qbic hotel. The event was organised by May from Red Velvet London, again! My first though was “Yess – I get to skip my one hour commute to work”. Other than was I was of course excited to check out the hotel and meet some old/new faces: April from Apriloves, Sarah from Let Me Tell You About a Hotel, Laura from Little Travel Bee, Emily at The Cosy Traveler and Elie from The Young Domestic Goddess. I brought my beautiful sister along as my plus one.
The Mercer hotel is currently one of the top hotels in Barcelona according to TripAdvisor, what’s the verdict?
